Help Needed to Install Awnings!!!!
The Sunsetter awnings are on site and we look forward to using our picnic tables in the shade and during light rain. All we need now is need installers!
The school is looking for 2 or 3 people to put up the three 18′ awnings. No special skills are needed beyond using a drill, a level, and a socket wrench. It is a fairly simple install: bolt brackets into place, attach awning, put on aluminum cover, and adjust mechanism. It should take 2 to 4 hours depending on whether we have 2 or 3 people. One or two 12′ extension ladders will make things go more quickly if we have 3 people.
Due to the length of the awnings, we need to do this when students are not present. I will be on site to assist and direct the project. I would like to do the project on Saturday, September 21 at 9 a.m. Please let me know if you can help.
Please call or text John if you are interested in helping or know a carpenter for hire who can do this for the school on short notice! 707-599-5258 or email@example.com

Direct Donation Annual Fund Drive – You Can Help!
It is a new year and we need donations. Direct donations allow the school to purchase everything from special art and craft materials to document cameras and high-quality projectors. The direct donation program funds artists in our school and provides scholarships to students on camping trips and other special school events. Regular improvements to the school campus are possible because of direct donations. Please see the attached letter that describes the school’s fund-raising program in detail! Please consider making a donation through our website https://equinox-center.org. You can also send the attached slip to the school office or send the information electronically to email@example.com. Thank you!
This year, Union Street will welcome Erik Brooks to our school as part of the Humboldt County Author’s Festival. He will visit the students on October 17th. Erik Brooks is an author and illustrator and his artwork is on display at the Morris Graves Museum. Children are free at the museum with an adult admission. On Arts Alive (Oct 5th 6-9 pm) admission is free for everyone.
