Welcome Back to School!
Coats for the Cold Collection
Coats for the Cold is a community organization that provides new and used coats for those who cannot afford them. Families who want to donate clean coats (gently used or new) can bring them to school. A “Coats for the Cold” collection barrel is on the office porch throughout the month of January. For more info visit: www.coatsforthecold.org.

Hobby & Collection Day, Wednesday, Jan. 16
On Hobby & Collections Day students can share about themselves and their interests. Students are encouraged to bring in objects that are representative of their hobby (knitting, origami, soccer, reading mysteries, etc.) or collections (seashells, rocks, bottle caps, etc.) Please remember that our school downplays pop culture. Talk to your child’s teacher if you have any questions about this special sharing day or the particulars of your child’s sharing.
NO SCHOOL on MONDAY Jan. 21st, Martin Luther King Jr. Birthday Observed
Siblings entering Kindergarten Fall 2019: Kindergarten applications for siblings of current students are due on January 25th. Please pick up an application from the office or request an application by email (firstname.lastname@example.org). Students must be 5 years old by Sept. 1, 2019 to enter kindergarten.
Grades K-4 re-enrollment: Please let us know by January 25th if your child will not or may not be continuing at USC in the fall of next year (email@example.com). Please talk to Rea Erickson if you are unsure of your enrollment plans for next year. It is important for us to know about possible changes as soon as possible.
New student admission meetings: Our admission meetings will be held on January 31th & February 1st at 5:30 for parents interested in enrolling students for the 2019-20 school year. As current parents, you are the best source for other parents to hear about our great school. Please tell friends and acquaintances, particularly with children entering kindergarten, to come to one of our admission meetings. If you would like a school brochure to hand out, they are available in the office.
